Connita Mampane
I am Mushi Connita Mampan, born on the 1st of November 1977 in Jane Furse, Limpopo Province. I started my primary school at Lehlasedi School in Zebediela. I later on attended high school at Pretoria high School For Girls till standard 8 and completed my matric at St. Martins College, which used to be St Peters College in Rossettenville, Johannesburg . I am a B.Com (Honours) Business Management graduate at the University of Pretoria. I majored in Economics, Financial Management and Business Management at undergraduate. I have great knowledge and experience in MS Windows XP Prof. and I did Pastel 5.0 Accounting as an extra course. I am a qualified Architectural Draughtsman and is able to provide advice on building plans for constructions at community projects, using my draughting knowledge. I have completed my 1st year of MBA with the University of Limpopo but put my studies on hold due to work relocation. I am currently registered for M.Com (Business Management) with the University of Johannesburg. I received a study bursary from Umama Wo Thando from my second year MCom, which reduced my financial burden hugely and forever thankfull.I have completed my course work for M.Com; and am left with research and management accounting as I intend to graduate in 2014.
I will always remain grateful to UWT for the financial and non-financial support granted to me. This obviously had a positive impact on my family and has allowed me to take advantage of opportunities that I would most probably not have been able to take part in had they not intervened. My family is forever grateful for the opportunity granted. UWT’s approach has made me look at donor funding from a totally different perspective and has made me to also start doing things differently. In my own way I have started my own education assistance program and wish it could grow outside my own family to touch other kids with educational financial
needs like I had. Thank you to UWT, especially Mama Cath and Charmaine and all those involved in the background to make it possible for all of us… UWT. “O gole o kake tlou, chukudu ebe moshimanyana…”
