I decided to study Visual arts because I have always been a naturally skilled creative who uses their creativity as a form of expression and problem solving. I knew it was my purpose when I started working hard at honing my craft, and it did not feel like hard work, but work I enjoyed doing instead. I decided to major in fashion & textiles because I enjoy seeing people light up and feel confident when they wear something I have designed and made. However, I do not consider myself only a fashion designer, because I am well versed in many other aspects of art like oil painting, illustration and photography. My dream is to become a philanthropist who uses all these creative skills to help improve the lives of others (especially other hard-working creatives). This is because I am very grateful for all the help and blessings I have received along the way, especially when I was struggling. I would also like to be a designer/artist who is considerate of the planet they live on – as I am aware of the many harmful waste practices that are within the fashion industry, and I would like to find ways to minimize those harmful practices and make that more fashionable.
I have always been a naturally skilled creative who uses their creativity as a form of expression and problem solving. My passion for Arts has taken me to a research project about the impact of art on the environment and sustainable fashion. I am a perfectionist, I overthink and the balance comes when what I am creating is exactly as my visual.
My plan is to create an inspired culture. To inspire the African child and support those growing and achieving without guidance like I did. To serve as a guide by inspiring others to work hard and follow their passion. I currently am doing that on social media and coaching through experience. I offer tips and guide through my Art postings.
